Weber Gas Grill

Every time I go to light my gas grill, it flares up so bad that it lifts the lid. I’ve dissected it (removed the grates and flame covering) and taken my shop vac to it, but it still flares up.

Wondering if anyone had a similar situation occur on there grill. Found the part online, but was hoping to purchase it from a local hardware store or home depot. Anyone has been able to purchase the valve at the hardware store?

I have a new propane gas grill and a full tank. Last night at 50 degrees, the grill had a very small flame and kept going out. No wind. Today at 65f, its operating better. Is this normal. Any ideas to improve it in cool weather?

i just made a really cool cave from oven craft clay! instead of putting it in my home oven and making the house stink!! can i bake the sculpture outside in my gas grill?? if yes how should i do it? lol its that craft clay that gets rock hard when its baked.

I am not an avid griller, I love the taste of steak on a grill when others make it and I have tried here and there to gill myself. The problem always lies in the grill never gets as hot as i would like. I have a typical size Weber grill, not gas. I have tried to use a ton of fluid I also try to use the coal that comes with the fluid built in. So I light it let it sit and throw the food on but still it never gets to the pint that there is a extremely hot point of the grill to char food. I hope you can help me with this because I love to grill food, I just suck at it.

I am relatively new to grilling, and far from a professional, but I’m finally ready to give up the charcoal. I would also lean towards a smaller and less expensive grill, because I would probrably only use it a handful of times every year.

I have a large tank. It is heavy plate tank from an 80 gallon air compressor. I’m wanting to convert it into a large upright gas smoker. I am wanting to set it up so I can install wire grates every three inches for items such as pork chops and ribs then remove grates for larger items. I need to know of a supplier that sells round grill grates by diameter. Replacement Weber grill grates is all I’ve found so far doing google searches. I’m looking for a company that sells a selection of sizes. I’ve just purchased the tank and havn’t touched it with the plasma cutter yet to know the inside diameter of the tank.

I was bbqing tonight and the mechanism between the petroleum tank and teh grill with the hoses that maintain pressure etc… started turning super cold and even developed frost. Is this normal? I’ve never noticed before — is it dangerous? your suggestion?

Hi everytone I am trying to find a barbeque Rotisserie Attachment, i bought a new gas grill and i would love to use one but the grill is 298 inches across so i have to find one that fits, there is a Weber 9890 Rotisserie Attachment , but it doesnt say the measurements, anyway if anyone knows of one that is 29 inches let me know thanks and god bless.

Weber – 9890 – Barbecue Accessories

I am using inverted heat, they are on the side of the grill that the burner is switched off. They are wrapped in foil and cooking now. How long should I normally cook them for and how can I know when there are done?

I have a nice full size Weber grill which uses a standard 20 pound propane tank. I am no longer allowed to use this size tank in my condominium community. The only grills permitted are electric grills (no WAY) or smaller gas grills that use the 1 pound disposable tanks. I know in many instances that the companies who make these smaller grills have a converter that you can buy to allow a 20 pound tank to be used with their grill.

MY question is… Does anyone make a converter to allow someone to use a small 1 pound disposable tank with a full size grill? Any ideas??? Thanks…

I have a gas grill, and since it’s turning cold soon, am I supposed to take the gas tank off of the grill and bring it indoors, or leave it on, or what?

I want to get my hubster a gas grill for Father’s Day.

We don’t eat red meat (but man, do I love the smell of red meat grilling … don’t get me started! , but we do enjoy a good piece of salmon, chicken or grilled veggies.

What type of gas grill would you suggest? We have a gas hook-up, but thats about it … we know nothing about grilling, but how about now to learn!

Home Depot has a grill (don’t know brand) for about 0 … would something like this work or should we go with a well known brand like Weber?

I’m looking for a gas grill, for under 0.00, with a side burner that has a flame big enough to heat a wok. Judgeing by everything I’ve read it sounds like I’ll want one with ceramic coated grates. Any suggestions and help is appreciated.

i live in an apartment and want to buy a grill. which do you suggest is better.
will the taste be very different if its a gas grill. what do restaurants like applebees use to make their sirloin stake for example.
is it very messy with charcoal grill.

I’m thinking about getting a NG grill w/ an island. Searched many places. Can anyone tell me where to look up the recommends of the various brands (Capital, Outdoor Cooking Systems, etc.)? Consumer reports only has the Sears, Weber, & other cheap brands that I don’t care for.

I heard on the 11 o’clock news that there was a recall on the Perfect Flame grills from Lowes. I have a Perfect Flame Three Burner Gas Grill, and I was wondering if this grill was included in the recall.

We just purchased a Weber Spirit barbecue and are gas grilling for the first time. Should we buy a tank at Costco and have it filled at the local propane place, or do the exchange at Home Depot? Thanks

Is it possible to smoke meats using a gas grill? I know on a charcoal grill you just put soaked wood chips on top of hot coals. Is this possible using a gas grill?

I wanted to buy a new grill. I was looking for a product that uses charcoal and is firestarted by gas but in the store that we went to, they said manufacturers are now making them as separates. Can u tell me, in your own experience, which one is better, charcoal or gas grill? And also, is there a brand of gas grill that I can use with lava rocks, as I still haven’t found one the stores I went to. Thanks a bunch… can’t wait to barbecue!

Today I grilled a single steak on a weber gas grill. I set the grill to high and when it got to about 300 F i put the steak in and constantly flipped it. I kept opening the grill because I was eager to see what was going on ebcause this is my frist time grilling. When i opened the grill again, after at 10 minutes that outside of the steak was burnt, but the inside wasn’t cooked i waited another 10 minutes, constantly checking it, and nothing had changed besides the fact that it got darker on the outside. Any tips for my next grilling attempt?

our burner went out on the gas grill, instead of buying a new one (like others would do) my b/f thinks he can replace it with a Copper tube that he has. Will using copper be a bad idea

I am hosting a large White Sox tail gating party, with about 20 people. I need ideas of what to cook/bring for food, that will keep about 16 hungry men and 4 women happy. Something that wont break my bank account. I will have a gas grill there and also a large weber charcoal grill. I am trying to avoid the staple foods like hot dogs, burgers, chicken, brats, polish sausage etc.
